Hi, I'm Sadie (a.k.a."Baby Kid"- Jack Russell - 5 years old), I just wanted to share with you what the namesake of mom's company - Barkley, alias The Dogfather, told me.

Barkley explained that Mom always took her where she could but that didn't include most vacations or work. Sometimes he'd to be home 10 hours sometimes without anyone to play with. Mom would come home and tell him that she wished there was some place she could take him, and then us, so that we could play with other dogs and someone to walk us. After Barkley begged Mom not to ever send him back to the scary boarding place, she started relying on friends and family... not always easy!

While our Mom was in grad school, she started doing this type of service for friends and family. Once we moved here to the low country, Mom realized there was a permanent need for dog services. In late 2006 we finally convinced our Mom and Dad (he helps a lot with us also, and is a great supporter of Mom), to start The Dogfather Pet Services.

Austin here. Despite the name, I like it best when The Dogfather Pet Services is taking care of me... now if I could only get them to change the name... maybe to CatFather, or just "Austin"!
